We bought our Nevada bed over 10 years ago, kingsize in walnut, and I am delighted to see that The Natural Bed Co is still going strong manufacturing them. The bed itself is very well made, ours has survived 2 house moves and the arrival of 2 energentic kids without any issue. Its on its 3rd mattress, now, and is treated to one of comparative quality these days which makes it perfect. I really can’t remember a better long term investment that we have made as I just dont see how our bed is ever going to need replacing. A bed for life! Style-wise, this bed is beautifully simple and suits our minimalist tastes, the use of a decorative wood like walnut being a small concession. The headboard is not really seen much of these days as the matresses have got thicker, but I can honestly say that the bed still gives me great pleasure to look at even after all these years and, if I’m honest, a little bit of smugness that we made the right choice for us (having made a lot of wrong ones in other purchases). In my mind a bed should serve only 2 purposes, one of which is sleeping in and neither are reading or watching TV on, so I’m glad we didn’t take the option of a taller headboard – I see the company do make a version with a taller headboard if you prefer. After many, many online purchases big and small since, I should say that this transaction really sticks in my mind after all these years. Calls to see if we wanted to adjust the dims, to explain about the selection of the wood, to check if the delivery day was suitable and then on the day to reconfirm and even after delivery to make sure everything was ok. I am delighted to be able to write such a postive review of a product after such a length of time and equally delighted to be able to endorse the Natural Bed Company so positively. Great product – fantastic quality, reasonable price and wonderful service. A real example to others – its taken me a long time to write this, admittedly, but its the only time I’ve ever felt motivated to submit a review! Now that we need a bed for the guest room, and after 12 years of living with one of the beds, I’m back here as the first point of call – I think that says it all.
