The colourway evokes pure sunshine and the exclusive design features a scene from wildflower meadow with a beehive and buzzing insects – just as we see on our Cotswolds farm in the warmer months. The toile de jouy tradition of decorating fabric with landscapes, animals or rural figures dates back to 18th-century France and involves hand-carving designs into fine-grained wooden blocks, which are then layered to create the scene.
