The polish used allows the natural oils to rise to the surface. Caring for your Ethnicraft Spindle Bench: DAILY CARE – For regular dusting use a dry, non-fluffy cloth – For cleaning use a damp sponge or cloth with a mild solution of water and natural soap (not detergent), wiping in direction of the grain – Following the above, dry with a soft, clean cloth to prevent spotting STAINS – The high density of teak has the advantage that stains do not penetrate the wood as easily. Even with these characteristics, remove any spills immediately. PREVENTIVE TREATMENT – If you want to protect the wood from the start, you can apply a protective coating.
