Description Model 30 Swivel Casters are a step up from swivel caster model G15 in that it features bigger swivel and wheel bearings and wider wheels. The precision machined swivel provides superior performance on both manually moved and mechanically powered equipment. The metal frames are zinc plated for rust resistance, and there are greasing fittings for all moveable parts. Popular options include a face contact wheel brake to lock the wheels and a hand operated swivel latch that converts a swivel caster into a rigid caster for direct line travel. Capacity up to 7,000 pounds per caster. Model 30 features a large swivel and wheel bearing which allows for heavy loads and more arduous service. Benefits include easier swiveling, reduced swivel vibration, and longer trouble free performance. Ideal for heavy fabrication shops, forging operations, and press and stamping equipment. Caster City manufactures this caster and it is also available in 304 Stainless Steel as the SS-30 for wet or corrosive applications. The “PYC” polyurethane caster wheel uses a higher quality urethane tread than standard poly on iron wheels and a much thicker, heavier iron core. This “PYC” caster wheel carries more weight than your standard polyurethane caster wheel due to having a thicker tire and thicker center that can take much more abuse. The PYC is a standout best seller for Caster City because it takes such industrial abuse. The PYC caster wheel comes with a slight crown on the face of the tire, meaning it swivels more easily from a standing or stopped position. Polyurethane caster wheels roll easier under the same load as rubber wheels. Polyurethane caster wheels protect floors better than metal wheels. The temperature range of this caster wheel is -20° to 180°F and the durometer of the polyurethane tire is 95 Shore A. This caster wheel comes standard with a roller bearing and has sealed ball bearings as an option. Ideal for wind turbine component handling, hydroelectric plant operations, and container port equipment. *The photo shown is the 8″ x 3″ Polyurethane on Iron – Slight Crown Tread.
